Vietnam and Germany: Signing the agreement on waste-water management

Leading to the 40-year of diplomatic relations establishment between Vietnam and Germany, on February 3 in Hanoi, the Vietnam Water Supply and Sewerage Association (VWSA) and Germany Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) signed the cooperative agreement under the framework of the waste-water management program (WMP).

Mr. Dink Pauschert - GIZ's representative emphasized that:  The assistance in the sectors of water discharge and waste-water treatment has been one of priorities in the GIZ’s international cooperation, tends to sustainable development.    

Since 1003, GIZ has cooperated with Vietnam's counterparts in 3 prioritized sectors, including:  Environmental policy; natural resources and urban and health development; sustainable economic development and occupational training.

The GIZ's operations have been authorized by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB).
