Ho Chi Minh turns into a low carbon city

According to Ho Chi Minh City Department of Natural Resources and Environment, they are making a draft of action plan to combat to climate change in the period 2016-2020 toward a low carbon city.

The action plan is expected to complete and submit to the city people’s committee for approval in the last quarter of 2015.

To be a low carbon city, nine projects in response to climate change in the period 2016-2020 with an aim to reduce from 2 to 3% amount of greenhouse gas emission every year.

For the time being, in 2015, Ho Chi Minh city will promote to propagandize about responses to climate change, building plans to reduce greenhouse gas emission in accordance with some sectors and industries, enhancing information exchange, experience and cooperation with international community in order to get supports  and assistance in dealing with combat against climate change.
