WB will support Viet Nam to respond to climate change and protect environment

In the meeting with the domestic Press at the beginning of Lunar New Year 2016, Mrs. Victoria Kwakwa – Country Director of the World Bank (WB) said: WB will continue to support Viet Nam in handling with environmental pollution in industrial production.

 

WB also supports Viet Nam in expanding the coastal mangrove forest, starting the access integration according to region to respond to climate change in the Mekong Delta; and in promoting investment from private sector in renewable energy.

 

“Assistance of WB for Viet Nam has been based on priorities of national development presented in the socio-economic development strategy. Viet Nam is being faced with many challenges on structure as well as a sustainable development route for environment and capacity to respond to climate change”, Mrs. Victoria Kwakwa said.
