VITM Ha Noi 2016 kicks off

(TITC) – On late 13 April 2016, VITM Ha Noi 2016 with theme “Viet Nam – the paradise of sea and island tourism” was launched.

 

At the opening ceremony, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thien spoke highly of close collaboration between Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), People’s Committee of Ha Noi City and Viet Nam Tourism Association (VITA) to mobilize various resources to organize VITM Ha Noi annually.

 

VITM Ha Noi has become an important promotion event of tourism sector which contributes to luring visitors and fostering tourism growth. Minister Nguyen Ngoc Thien believed that VITM Ha Noi will remain its position as a prestige tourism event of Viet Nam as well as in the region and the world.

 

According to Mr. Vu The Binh, Head of Organizing Board, VITM Ha Noi 2016 has the participation of 502 booths, of which 115 international booths from 25 countries and territories, 387 national booths from 42 cities and provinces, particularly large booths of the Northwest Region (500sq.m), the Central Highlands – South Central Region (300sq.m) and Ha Noi (144sq.m); and booths of Japan, Russia, Republic of Korea, Thailand (above 72sq.m).

 

There will be about 3,000 enterprises and approximately 62,000 visitors attending the fair with over 15,000 promotional tours and 20,000 cheap airline tickets.

 

At the opening ceremony, the Organizing Board awarded Viet Nam’s most attractive destinations 2015 including 5 categories: 3 best resorts, 3 exciting parks, 3 most popular craft villages, 3 favorite museums and 3 favorite beaches.

 

VITM Ha Noi 2016 will last until 17 April at the Viet Nam Expo Center in Ha Noi with a series of traditional culture, art performances, and meetings, seminars, press conferences.
