Various acitivities at Viet Nam Cultural Days in Philippines 2016

The Viet Nam Cultural Days in the Philippines was held on July 12-16, 2016 in Manila and in Bulacan.

 

The opening ceremony and art program were organized in Philippines Cultural Center, Manila capital on evening of July 13, 2016.

 

National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and the Ministry of Culture and Sports and Tourism (MOSCT) of Viet Nam, held the Viet Nam Cultural Days in the Philippines and the Philippine Cultural Days in Viet Nam.

 

Deputy Minister Vuong Duy Bien, Truong Trieu Duong-Viet Nam’s ambassador in Republic of Philippines and representatives for the ministries and agencies participated into the event.

 

Addressing at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Vuong Duy Bien stated an importace of the event in a context of two countries as strategic partnership and ASEAN community.

 

Addressing at the opening ceremony, Felipe M. De Leon, a chairman of the NCCA stated that the cultural event marked a meaning of cultural relation between two countries and a chance for people to discover cultural identity of Viet Nam. Felipe M. De Leon expects to enhance cultural cooperating relationship between two countries in the up-coming time.

 

The event featured the Youth Theatre of Viet Nam and an exhibition of Viet Nam’s pride, lacquer and brocades. The accompanying exhibition on Vietnamese Lacquer and Brocades comprised a collection of traditional lacquer products; Ao dai (Vietnamese traditional costume), wedding costume of ethnic Red Dao people, and other Vietnamese ethnic minority groups of H’Mong, E De, Lo Lo, etc.; a collection of dolls in ethnic costumes; and different kinds of brocades. This exhibit aimed to introduce to the Filipino public, a facet of Viet Nam’s rich textile tradition and cultural heritage, to foster better appreciation of the creativity and genius of its peoples. 

 

Many Vietnamese music, with contemporary and folk dances are brought to varied audiences all across the globe. The group had an impressive pool of accomplished directors and artists that stages productions to showcase Viet Nam’s proud performing arts tradition.

 

The Vietnamese Lacquer and Brocades exhibition opened on July 13-15, 2016.
