Ha Noi plans to have more int’l complexes of entertainment & resorts

Hoang Trung Hai, Secretary of Ha Noi Party Committee has issued the Resolution No. 06 on tourism development in Ha Noi in the period of 2016 – 2020 and subsequent years.

Accordingly, Ha Noi sets the target of welcoming 30 million tourist arrivals by the year of 2020 with a total tourism revenue of VND120,000 billion.

 

The capital city also aims to complete 2 to 3 int’l complexes of entertainment and resort, reported by Phap Luat news, HCM City.

 

Ha Noi will call for strategic investors for projects in developing tourism service for West Lake area, two banks of Hong River, Nhat Tan – Noi Bai area, National tourism zone Ba Vi – Suoi Hai and Huong Son – Quan Son Lake – Tuy Lai area.

 

Resolution No.6 also mentioned that the development of Ha Noi tourism has not met with its potential as the capital city of Viet Nam. The city still lacks attractive tourism attractions, sport – entertainment – retreat destinations, as well as int’l shopping centers.

 

During the first six months of this year, Ha Noi welcomed over 11 million of tourist arrivals, an increase 10% year-on-year, of which more than 2 million were foreigners. The city is expected to receive 21 million of tourist arrivals in 2016 with the total tourism revenue of over VND60,000 billion, up 8% over the same period last year.
