(TITC) – From 1-3 October 2016, the 13th Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival of the Northwestern ethnic minorities will be held in Lao Cai.
The festival aims to promote cultural identities of ethnic minorities in the Northwest region, contribute to raising awareness and responsibility of the community in developing, preserving and honoring the culture of ethnic minorities.
The event attracts the participation of provinces of Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Phu Tho, Ha Giang, Hoa Binh, Son La, Dien Bien and Lai Chau. With the theme “Northwestern ethnic minorities - unity and development towards National Tourism Year 2017”, the festival will bring diverse cultural activities, including art performances, traditional ethnic clothing shows, exhibition on cultural products and tourism; photo exhibition “Colours of the Northwest”…
The opening ceremony will take place at 7.30 pm on 2 October 2016 at the Provincial Cultural House of Lao Cai.
