Update: 08/08/2017
Two visitor information and support centres recently began operations in Ho Chi Minh City in a bid to improve tourism services in the city.

The visitor information and support centre in Park 23/9 opened on August 2 and quickly became a useful place for foreign tourists inHo Chi Minh City.

This Spanish visitor is searching for information about the city’s tourism hot spots.

The two centres at Bach Dang Wharf and 23/9 Parks is a pilot by the municipal department of tourism to cater for the rising demand for integration and tourist information, while reducing risks tourists may face in the city.

The centres collect feedback from tourists and provide information on accommodation, travel and entertainment if required.

At the centres, visitors can receive advice from staff or look for information on guide books and documents in English, Japanese, Russian and Chinese.

They also have free access to Internet-connected computers.

The facilities are expected to help improve tourism services, keeping visitors in the city longer.

Similar facilities may be built at Tan Son Nhat international airport, and several popular destinations in the city such as Independence Palace and War Remnants Museum.-VNA
