On January 20th, the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province solemnly launched the Green Sunday campaign 2019 at a ceremony themed "Take action for a green - clean - bright province". Attending the ceremony were Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Bui Thanh Ha; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chief of the National Assembly Delegation of Thua Thien Hue province Phan Ngoc Tho and nearly 1.200 Youth Union members in entire province.
In an attempt to protect the environment, Thua Thien Hue has well deployed environmental protection activities by investing in infrastructure, green trees and lawn, installing art lightning system, constructing roads, bridges, dredging canals, cleaning the environment, etc. Many programs, movements and campaigns were also launched to enhance the awareness and responsibility of each person, agency, unit and enterprise.
After the ceremony, the Organizing Board introduced the volunteer team joining in building civilized urban life style; signed project commitment. Nearly 1.200 cadres, soldiers, Youth Union members, students and locals will deploy activities to disseminate civilized urban lifestyle, protect the environment on streets, markets, tourism boat docks and Huong riverbanks, remove leaflets, rearrange vehicle parking in improper positions, widely disseminate about environmental protection, etc.
