Besides, international flight plans to Asia, Europe and Oceania could be implemented right from the second quarter of this year with Thailand, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, and Australia as the first destinations.
For the US market, the airline is exploring some places such as Seattle, Los Angeles and San Francisco so that it can open a direct route to the US at the end of 2019 or early 2020.
To realise these plans, on the occasion of the recent second summit between the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and the United States of America (USA) in Hanoi, Bamboo Airways signed a nearly-3-billion-USD contract to buy 10 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner wide-body jets with the US group, in the witness of Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong and President Donald Trump.
Earlier, Bamboo Airways struck two deals to purchase 44 A321 NEO and 787-9 Dreamliner jets worth 8.8 billion USD from Airbus and Boeing.-VNA
