Vietnam building became award winner in the South East Asia energy efficiency building contest

Resort Anantara Resort & Spa (Mui Ne, Phan Thiet) won second prize in the contest building energy efficiency in Southeast Asia.

In 2012, Vietnam has two buildings participating in the contest, in which the resort Anantara Resort & Spa was honored second prize in category tropical building. Anantara Resort & Spa was the first representative in Mui Ne, Phan Thiet voted to the list of “most luxury hotels in the world" (in a list of 480 luxury hotels in 70 countries). With tropical-style architecture, favoring natural conditions for lighting and air conditioning, the resort was able to reduce the energy consumption significantly. The most distinguished feature that make ups the difference of Anantara is the lot of trees spreading the entire resort, ensuring architectural design standards for air pollution, noise and reducing the impact of the landscape environment ... These are the standards formed towards green building.

Southeast Asian energy efficiency building contest is an annual competition, which is held alternately in the countries of the region. The competition was organized for the purpose of highlighting energy efficiency based architecture and operation, and then calls on for wide application of energy efficiency solutions and raise awareness on green building community.
Over six years, Vietnam had 10 award winners out of the 18 participating buildings in the contest. HCMC Energy Conservation Center is the place that helps buildings to construct for application profile.
