Phu Quoc Island steps up tourism infrastructure

Most of the nearly 2,000 hotel rooms on Phu Quoc Island in the Mekong Delta Province of Kien Giang have been fully booked since the end of last year. Mr. Pham Quoc Thai of the Sao Bien resort revealed that the island sees a great number of local and international tourists.

Rare crane spotted in Mekong delta bird sanctuary

By Feb. 17, 36 red-headed bare-necked cranes had flocked to Tram Chim Bird Sanctuary in the Mekong delta province of Dong Thap. Director of the sanctuary Nguyen Van Hung said that the cranes, which are listed in the World’s Red Book of Threatened Species, returned to the sanctuary to find their available food – nan glass.
