(TITC) - After 5 years of construction and trial operation, the new modern cable car system at Sam Mountain (Chau Doc City, An Giang Province) was officially put into operation in Lunar New Year 2022.

The 900-meter long cable car route has 37 cabins, each of which can carry up to eight people. It was installed by the world's leading cable car supplier, Doppel Mayr Company (Austria).
The operation of the cable car system not only shortens the travel time to the top of Sam Mountain to enjoy the panoramic view of Nui Sam national tourist area and Chau Doc City, but also contributes to reducing the overwhelming of tourists at Sam Mountain.
Located 280 meters above sea level, Sam Moutain is considered as a tourist center of the Mekong Delta region with many attractions such as Ba Chua Xu Temple, tomb of Thoai Ngoc Hau, Tay An Pagoda (or Phat Thay Pagoda), Phuoc Dien Pagoda (or Hang Pagoda)…
Coming to Sam Mountain Tourist Area, visitors also have chance to admire unique architectural complex from Europe to Asia through works in the tourist complex and check in at romantic love bridge and many other special corners.
