(TITC) - On 7th March 2022, in Hoi An, Quang Nam Province, the Organisation Board of the Visit Vietnam Year 2022 had a meeting to have an update on the organisation of the Opening ceremony and the activities, events of the Visit Vietnam Year.

Attending the meeting were Mr. Doan Van Viet, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST); Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh, Chairman of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT); Mr. Le Tri Thanh and Mr. Tran Van Tan, Chairman and Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Quang Nam Province, along with staff members of the Organisation Board of the Visit Vietnam Year 2022.
According to the report of Quang Nam Province, besides the Opening ceremony scheduled to take place on 26th March 2022 at Hoi An Memories Island, many other exciting activities will take place before, during and after the Opening ceremony such as: Tour to experience green tourism products in Quang Nam Province; Opening of Cam Phu Community Tourism Village; Organising the “Ancient features of Hoi An” show; Hot air balloon festival; Experiencing cultural festival space at Hoi An Impression Theme Park; Annual golf tournament in Quang Nam Province; Green tourism week; “The legendary of My Son Night” show; a variety of activities to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between India and Vietnam, etc.
Overview of the meeting
Bearing all the burdens of the local tourism in the last 2 years, Mr. Doan Van Viet, MOCST’s Deputy Minister, highly appreciated the efforts of Quang Nam Province in the preparation of the Visit Vietnam Year 2022. Mr. Viet asked Quang Nam Province to organise diverse and attractive activities to kick off the Visit Vietnam Year and give a start to the recovery of Vietnam tourism in possible condition.
At the same time, Mr. Viet emphasised that the Visit Vietnam Year 2022 plays as a massive event of the whole country in general and Quang Nam Province in particular. Therefore, the whole preparation process for this event needs to be careful and attentive.

About the communication work, Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh, VNAT’s Chairman stated, VNAT sent a document to inform the brand identity of the Visit Vietnam Year 2022 to localities throughout the country and asked to use the logo in every event related to each locality tourism, creating a media effects spillover.
In 2022, along with the ‘Live Fully in Vietnam’ communication campaign, VNAT will integrate images and brand identity of the Visit Vietnam Year in Vietnam tourism promotion and stimulation activities chaired and coordinated by VNAT.
In order to be well prepared for the Visit Vietnam Year as well as resuming tourism activities in the upcoming time, VNAT’s Chairman Nguyen Trung Khanh asked localities to pay attention to a number of contents such as: Ensure safe conditions for pandemic prevention; Accompany businesses and ensure service quality; Develop new products and strengthen promotion, advertisement and attract visitors; improve destination competitiveness.
On the same day, VNAT’s Chairman Nguyen Trung Khanh had an inspection to review the preparation works of the Visit Vietnam Year 2022 and the reopening tourism of Quang Nam Province.
