Sparkling "Legendary My Son Night"

(TITC) - As part of the series of events of Visit Vietnam Year 2022, on the evening of March 24, at the My Son Sanctuary (Duy Xuyen District, Quang Nam Province), more than 200 actors and artists performed at outdoor art performance program "Legendary My Son Night".

With special lighting effects, audiences feel the unique beauty of each temple and tower, affirming its longevity with time and cultural development of each period passing the ancient towers.

The performance has 3 parts: Valley - Story of time, The legendary My Son Night and the Harmony of Light.

The contents partially recreate the origin history of the most important religious center of the ancient Kingdom of Champa from thousands of years ago, overcoming the distance of space and time to find the harmony between the past and present. The program also shows the unique feature of Champa temples, reminding the next generation to preserve and promote remain values. The combination of dance languages along with lighting effects as well as stage effects created a realistic and impressive performance.

Mr. Phan Ho - Director of the Management Board of My Son Sanctuary said, "Legendary My Son Night" will be new tourism product of My Son to serve overnight guests, the local community also benefits by exploiting the rural setting outside the heritage site, helping guests get the most experience in their trip. They have the opportunity to enjoy many activities to experience Cham culture such as cuisine, brocade weaving, pottery testing, excerpts from Cham festivals, Cham folk singing practice...

My Son is located in Duy Phu village, Duy Xuyen District, Quang Nam Province. The temples are in a valley roughly two kilometres wide that is surrounded by two mountain ranges. There are more than 70 architectural works of temples and towers of the Champa civilization, containing outstanding values of history, culture, architecture, and art formed over a long period of time during 9 centuries (from the 4th to 13th centuries).
