International visitors to Vietnam increased 12% in October

(TITC) – According to General Statistics Office (GSO), in October 2022, Vietnam welcomed 484.4 thousand international arrivals, increased 12% compare to last month.

Those from Thailand grow 45%, Cambodia (+30%), Australia (+14.4%), US (+11.8%). Key markets from Europe also have good signature: France (+16%), England (+22%), Germany (+8.3%).

In 10 months 2022, there are 2.3 million international arrivals to Vietnam including 619.6 thousand Korean visitors, equivalent to 26.3% and 218.2 thousand American visitors, accounting for 9.3%.

In the top tourist source markets of Vietnam, Southeast Asia has Cambodia (134.9 thousand arrivals, ranked 3rd), Thailand (114.6 thousand, 5th), Singapore (108.2 thousand, 6th) and Malaysia (100 thousand, 7th).

The average growth rate of international visitors to Vietnam in January - October of 2022 gained 42.7%/month.

Of the total 2.3 million international arrivals to Vietnam in 10 months of 2022, 1.66 million arrivals came from Asia (accounting for 70.4%); 0.32 million from Europe (13.7%); 0.26 million from Ocean (4.5%) and 0.08 million from Africa (0.3%). Korean visitors contributed 37.4% of the total number of Asian visitors; Southeast Asia contributed 34.7%.
