Online tourism fair gets underway in Ba Ria - Vung Tau

Update: 30/11/2022
The 2022 Online Tourism Fair kicked off in the southern province of Ba Ria - Vung Tau on November 29, drawing the participation of more than 400 travel businesses.

On display at the function were over 1,500 tours with promotional discounts reaching up to 90%. The occasion also introduced a tourism stimulus programme featuring a series of incentives with online booths helping to connect both visitors and partners.

Tran Thi Thu Hien, deputy director of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Department of Tourism, said that aside from stimulus schemes, accommodation establishments and tourist attractions have continued to renew products in order to serve the Christmas period, New Year's Eve, and the traditional Lunar New Year festival, known locally as Tet.

Most notably, three to five star accommodation facilities will organise a number of attractive programmes as they seek to serve these special occasions, including New Year's Eve 2023 music night. These activities are anticipated to attract more tourists from now until the end of the year, Hien said.

The function will run until December 28 and is expected to receive between two million and three million visitors.
