(TITC) - Dien Bien Provincial People’s Committee recently published the plan to organise the Hoa Ban Festival 2023 in Dien Bien from March to May.

Accordingly, main activities during Hoa Ban Festival 2023 will be held from 11th March to 13th March. Along with Hoa Ban beauty contest, Hoa Ban Festival will be held together with the 7th Dien Bien Provincial Ethnic Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival with a series of activities such as: Incense offering ceremony at Dien Bien Phu War Martyrs Temple; Festival of folk songs, folk dance and music of all ethnic groups and activities of introducing and exchanging ethnic culture, introducing cultural and tourist products to visitors.

The Festival aims to introduce, preserve and promote various types of ethnic cultural heritage forms of Dien Bien Province; to associate cultural preservation with promoting the potential of tourism strengths, promoting the province's socio-economic development in the period of renovation, integration and development. It is an occasion to honour Ban (Bauhinia variegate) Flower - the symbol of the land and people of Dien Bien in particular and Northwest Region in general, towards the common goal of building and promoting the long-standing and heroic history of Dien Bien to international friends.

With a series of rich cultural, sports and tourism activities containing the national cultural identity and historical characteristics, the Festival promises to offer a vibrant, colourful community festival space in harmony with the heroic atmosphere of historical years.
