(TITC) - On the evening of December 31, in Phan Thiet City (Binh Thuan Province), the announcement ceremony of the Visit Vietnam Year 2023 was held in association with the Countdown Festival to welcome the New Year 2023.

Under the theme "Binh Thuan - Green convergence", Visit Vietnam Year 2023 focuses on green products, clean energy, creating a friendly and safe environment, preserving and promoting cultural heritages and good traditional values of the nation; towards a green growth, tourism development associated with other economic sectors for sustainable development.
There are more than 200 activities held by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in cooperation with Binh Thuan Province all year around as well as many responsible events in 41 provinces/cities.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Mr. Doan Anh Dung, Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee said that the Visit Vietnam Year is an opportunity to introduce and promote tangible, intangible, and natural cultural values of Vietnam in general and the land of Binh Thuan in particular. The event creates a push for the tourism industry to recover and develop strongly in the new period.
Mr. Doan Anh Dung urged businesses, organizations, local residents to actively respond to and participate in Visit Vietnam Year 2023 activities.
Within the framework of the announcement ceremony, special art programs took place, showing the characteristics of people and the land of Binh Thuan alongside the Countdown festival and colorful fireworks.
