(TITC) - In the framework of VITM - Ha Noi 2023, Ha Noi Department of Tourism and Vietnam Tourism Association (VITA) organised the Seminar "Potential and development orientation of golf tourism in Ha Noi".

Addressing the Seminar, Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh, Deputy Director of Ha Noi Department of Tourism said, in order to maintain the positive growth momentum of Ha Noi's tourism industry, to achieve the goal of welcoming 22 million visitor arrivals in 2023, in addition to strengthen the organisation of activities and events to promote tourism, it is necessary to improve the quality of tourism services, investing in building new products, increasing the visitor's experience, especially the type of tourism for the middle and high-end segments.

Golf tourism is considered as a potential tourism product, a good factor to draw in international tourists to Vietnam in general and to Ha Noi in particular, especially groups of tourists from key markets such as Korea, Japan, America, Europe… By increasing the spending capacity of tourists, the revenue from tourism activities in the city also increases, creating jobs as well as income for local people.

According to Mr. Pham Thanh Tri, Standing Vice Chairman of Vietnam Golf Tourism Association, to promote the development of golf tourism in Ha Noi, it needs a clear plan and roadmap, which strengthens connectivity, strongly applies information technology, and exchanges golf clubs is mandatory; Expanding the golf tourism market for European, American, Australian, Southeast Asian tourists... by organising exchange activities, tournaments…
