(TITC) - According to information from Hoa Binh University, the Vietnamese delegation participated the final round of “1st Asian Cultural Heritage Conservation and Utilization Proposal Competition”, organized by UNESCO in Guangdong (China) on late April 2023 They won a third prize and a consolation prize.

Two teams, both from Hoa Binh University (Ha Noi), introduced and proposed solutions for sustainable development of Trang An (Ninh Binh Province) and Hoang Thanh Thang Long (Imperial Citadel of Thang Long - Hanoi).
They surpassed the other 576 entrants in Asia to finish among the Top 20 alongside representatives from the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Macau (China), Tajikistan, and Vietnam.
At the final round, each team put on a 10-minute presentation detailing solutions aimed at preserving cultural heritage and developing tourism in the Asian region.

Student Hoang Ngoc Han, one of the members of the Trang An team that won the third prize, happily said: After this contest, we will establish Green Clubs for young people with weekly and daily activities to the local heritage sites to learn and be more aware of the precious heritage of the homeland and the country.
“Asian Cultural Heritage Conservation and Utilization Proposal Competition” calls for proposals focused on the theme of “Conservation and Utilization of Asian Cultural Heritage in the context of climate change”. Proposal entries must suggest creative solutions and/or their implementation for heritage conservation or utilization within Asia.

This competition aims to promote cultural heritage education between Asian countries, share cultural heritage protection and utilization best practices, spread the concept of sustainable development of cultural heritage and strengthen cultural exchanges and knowledge sharing among the youth in Asian countries.
The organization wishes to build a network of exchanges, cooperation, presentation, and communication for youngsters of Asian countries and enhance their knowledge and interest in Asia’s cultural heritage.
