(TITC) - The Hanoi Great Souvenirs 2023 takes place from 14th to 17th September at Ho Van (Literature Lake) Historical Relic Area (Quoc Tu Giam, Ha Noi).
This is a trade event for the capital's handicraft souvenir industry, organised by the Ha Noi People's Committee and is expected to attract thousands of visitors and transactions with exhibitors, product introductions and events to serve domestic and international tourists coming to the Capital to respond to the event: “the 9th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians” held in Ha Noi.
Ha Noi City has the strength of being home to more than 1,350 craft villages with about 176 thousand craft households, accounting for 45% of the total number of craft villages in the country. In particular, the number of occupational group structures includes: Production of handicrafts; Production of wooden furniture, rattan, ceramics, glass, textiles, yarn, embroidery, wickerwork, small mechanics; Processing and preserving agricultural products. The products of the craft villages are diverse in many types, with beautiful designs and good quality, some of which have competitive strengths in domestic and foreign markets. The handicraft industry is playing an important role in the export and economic development of the Capital.

In 2023, the National Assembly of Vietnam organises the 9th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians, from 14th-17th September 2023 in Ha Noi with an expected scale of the Conference to welcome 500 delegates (including 300 international delegates). This is the National Assembly's key multilateral foreign affairs event, and also one of our country's major multilateral diplomatic events this year. This event is also an opportunity to attract and impress domestic and international visitors with the image of Ha Noi Capital "Thousand years of civilization - City for peace - Creative city".
The Fair is organised with the purpose of: Supporting industry associations, businesses, rural industrial production establishments, artisans to display, introduce and promote rich handicraft souvenir products with cultural identity of traditional craft villages of Ha Noi; Support for businesses and rural industrial establishments producing handicraft souvenirs in the City to participate in trade connection activities at the Fair; Promote cooperation in the production, processing, and consumption of typical high-quality rural industrial goods, forming a sustainable production and consumption chain of rural products and goods.

The fair has a scale of 100 booths with standard designs of businesses and rural industrial establishments in the city and a product display area with new designs to promote, introduce and sell souvenirs and handicrafts: Ceramics, lacquer, encrusting, embroidery, silk, rattan, wooden furniture and some OCOP products of the Capital. The fair is expected to welcome thousands of domestic and international tourists, commercial customers from e-commerce platforms (Etsty, Amazon, Shopee...) to visit, transact, and shop directly at the fair. Hanoi Great Souvenirs 2023 promises to be an effective bridge to bring Vietnamese souvenirs and culture in general, and Ha Noi City in particular, to domestic and international visitors.
