Ha Noi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2023: honouring the beauty of traditional culture, promoting tourism of the capital

(TITC) -The opening ceremony of Ha Noi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2023 took place on 27th October 2023 in Hoan Kiem Lake area.

The festival lasted for 3 days (27th - 29th October) in Hoan Kiem Lake walking streets, Ba Kieu Temple Flower Garden, Dinh Tien Hoang Street, Le Thach Street, Octagon House.

Ha Noi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2023 was organised to respond to the aim of developing and promoting tourism and honouring the traditional Ao dai of Vietnam; turning Ao dai into an unique and attractive tourism product of Ha Noi. This is also an opportunity for the Capital's tourism businesses to promote and cooperate with artisans and ao dai fashion designers to build unique tours. Ha Noi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2023 is an activity to promote the Capital's tourism image "Safe - friendly - quality - attractive destination", attracting people, domestic tourists and international friends, gradually positioning itself as an annual activity of Capital tourism.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Vu Thu Ha, Vice Chairman of Ha Noi City People’s Committee stressed, Ha Noi Tourism Ao Dai Festival opens up a new direction, contributes to transform Ha Noi as a beloved destination, a first choice of several domestic and international tourists and friends, a “World's leading city tourist destination”.

During the Ha Noi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2023, on Dinh Tien Hoang Street, Ly Thai To Monument, Le Thach Street, the Organising Board arranged 60 booths to promote and introduce products of designers and ao dai brands from the North - Central - South regions. At the same time, tourism businesses, airlines, hotels, and destinations introduce tours, routes, and travel services with many preferential policies and promotions.

One of the highlights of the event was the art performance, ensemble performance and ao dai parade of the Ha Noi Women's Union. This activity  attracted the participation of 1,000 people from agencies, units, businesses and people, including representatives of about 50 typical families of Ha Noi.

In the framework of the festival, unique cultural and artistic activities took place, such as: Music night "Colors of Ha Noi" on 28th October at Ba Kieu Temple Flower Garden; Exhibition space, display booth, product introduction; Exhibition space for photo materials; Space for information, promotion, and introduction of tourism tours, routes, products, and services; Community Ao Dai Path "Walking on Sword Lake"; Booth space for displaying and introducing products - a place where hundreds of years of memories remain; Parade “Hundreds of Walking flowers”; Seminar "Orientation and development of ao dai in the community and connecting tourism" on 29th October; musical art programme "City Rhythm" and other side activities.
