American travel magazine CnTraveller has voted Da Nang among Top 11 destinations in Asia in 2024.
Meanwhile, according to Australia’s MICENET site, Da Nang is an ideal destination for businesses to organize MICE tourism, and the city is also a top destination for Indian tourists.
The central coastal city of Da Nang saw strong recovery in tourism growth in 2023. The number of visitors to the city is estimated to reach more than 7.39 million, two-fold increase compared to 2022 while international visitors alone increase 4.2 times compared to 2022, equal to 61% of that of 2019 before the COVID-19 epidemic.
In 2024, Da Nang will promote the resumption of old routes and open new routes in potential markets of India, Australia, the US and Northern Europe, and will focus on exploiting potential models such as MICE tourism, golf and wedding travel.

The city aims to welcome 8.42 million visitors, an increase of more than 13.8% compared to 2023. It continues to expand the market and promote regular international and charter flights from China; Da Nang - Doha (Qatar) route to reconnect North American and European markets; expand flight routes to Indonesia, India, Japan, Phuket, Northeast Thailand and Gangwon (the Republic of Korea).
The central hub will pilot Bach Dang walking street, night tourism services on Nguyen Van Troi Bridge and the East bank park at the foot of Nguyen Van Troi Bridge; support the groundbreaking of the River of Light and inland waterway, and the complex of works serving the International Fireworks Festival./.
