This is part of Marico SEA’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) effort and aligns with Vietnam’s ambition to achieve net zero emissions by 2050, along with its One Billion Trees Planting Project for 2021-2025.

Tree planting in Ben En National Park will help create carbon sinks to combat climate change and mitigate the effects of natural disasters, preserving water reservoirs, and safeguarding biodiversity. This effort will contribute to the conservation of the rare Erythrophloeum fordii, listed in Vietnam’s Red Book.

“Marico SEA is grateful for Gaia Nature Conservation’s support, as well as the efforts of all individuals and organizations involved in this important afforestation program. We pledge to persist in our contributions towards environmental conservation, striving to create a more sustainable future for the Vietnamese community,” said Vineet Jain, business head of Marico SEA.

Ben En National Park, covering 14,735 hectares, is dedicated to nature preservation and ecosystem protection. Within the park, Marico SEA aims to restore 3,000 hectares of depleted forests and idle lands.
