The contest is open to amateur and professional writers both at home and abroad. Entries should focus on the protection and preservation of heritage trees in Vietnam.
Their articles, which are encouraged to be attached with photos, should be sent to the Nature and Environment online magazine’s headquarters at No. 348, Buoi Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi, or via e-mail at caydisanvietnam@gmail.com.
Winners of the contest will be honoured at an award ceremony which is scheduled to take place in Hanoi in November 2024. A total of one grand, two A, five B, and 15 C prizes will be presented to the best entries.
The contest aims to raise public awareness of protecting natural landscapes, biodiversity, and the environment in the context of climate change, thus contributing to preserving precious species and promoting social activities.
It is also expected to encourage learning about the formation and development of ancient trees and their connection with the lives of indigenous peoples.
