Paragliding over Tam Giang lagoon in Thua Thien Hue Province

(TITC) - For the first time, paragliding will be held on Tam Giang lagoon (Quang Dien District, Thua Thien Hue Province) to serve people and tourists at the "Tam Giang Water Wave" Festival.

Quang Dien District will organise paragliding performances for the first time on Tam Giang lagoon and on local beaches to serve residents and tourists. This is a new activity of the "Tam Giang Water Wave" Festival organised by Quang Dien District People's Committee from 8th - 10th June 2024.

Accordingly, during the 3 days of the festival, people and tourists will be able to watch paragliding performances by pilots participating in training and activities at domestic paragliding clubs. At the event, visitors also have the opportunity to directly experience paragliding with a pilot. This activity is held for the first time on Tam Giang lagoon with the hope of contributing to stimulating tourism and attracting tourists to the "Tam Giang Water Wave" Festival.

The "Tam Giang Water Wave" Festival is an activity to support the 2024 Hue Festival. In addition to the paragliding performance, there are also other activities taking place at the same time such as: The fair combines a market session to bring Vietnamese goods to the countryside; Food Fair; Hoang Mai Hue Fair; Quang Dien countryside market; Photo exhibition "Beauty of Quang Dien"; Beach football tournament; Beach volleyball tournament; Traditional wrestling prizes; Traditional boat racing tournament; Bai Choi Art Singing;...

In addition, visitors can also immerse themselves in the joyful and vibrant atmosphere of folk games such as: Blindfolded and smashing pots, jump on a burlap bag or row SUP to catch scallops on Tam Giang lagoon… In particular, the opening night art programme of the "Tam Giang Water Wave" Festival taking place on the evening of 8th June will help people and tourists better understand the land and people of Quang Dien.
