VNAT and FIS shake hands to promote Vietnam tourism image

(TITC) - On 25th July 2024, Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh, Chairman of Vietnam Authority of Tourism (VNAT) had a meeting with Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Director General of the Authority of Foreign Information Service (the Ministry of Information and Communications) on coordinating the promotion of Vietnam's tourism image and brand.

At the meeting, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Director General of the Authority of Foreign Information Service  said, as two focal units under the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Authority of Foreign Information Service with its strength in the system of communication channels in coordination with Vietnam National Authority of Tourism with a large source of data on tourism, will certainly bring extremely positive effects in communication and promotion of Vietnamese tourism.

The Authority of Foreign Information Service proposed that the two sides will coordinate to develop a national tourism brand communication plan; coordinate the development of high-quality tourism communication products; connecting and developing a network and ecosystem of media forces to serve national tourism brand communication; organise events and seminars to promote tourism, integrate tourism promotion at home and abroad; promote digital transformation in tourism communication activities…

To facilitate implementation, the Authority of Foreign Information Service proposed that the two sides sign a memorandum of understanding as a basis for coordinating the implementation of national tourism brand communication work domestically and internationally.

VNAT’s Chairman Nguyen Trung Khanh declared, the coordination between the two sides in the current context is extremely necessary, especially in the era of technology 4.0, communication work on digital platforms needs to be prioritised. In order to push Vietnam tourism growing strongly, as well as to enhance the position and brand of Vietnam tourism as a safe, friendly, and attractive destination, it is vital to receive the support and companionship of the Ministry of Information and Communications and its affiliated units, especially the Authority of Foreign Information Service.

According to VNAT’s Chairman Nguyen Trung Khanh, the signing of cooperation between the two Authorities will be an ideally favourable condition to create a breakthrough in communication and promotion of national tourism. VNAT’s Chairman hopes that in the coming time, the Authority of Foreign Information Service as well as News agencies and newspapers will continue to support, accompany, and assist in further promoting communication and promotion of Vietnam tourism at home and abroad.
