Management boards of newly-recognised world biospheres established
Update: 12/06/2009
UNESCO Vietnam has just released an official document instructing Hoi An and Ca Mau authorities to establish management boards of newly-recognised world biospheres of Cu Lao Cham and Mui Ca Mau. This is the preparation step to carry out further activities in the two biospheres after the UNESCO's recognition.
These management boards would have the participation of local authorities, social associations and private economic enterprises under the direction of a Vice-chairman of local People's Committee. One of the boards' duties is to develop a set of management regulations for the biospheres, which would be the base for sustainable development in the areas.
