Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam joined many young people on an event to clean up the area around Linh Dam Lake in Hanoi.
Dam called on young people to work together on environmental protection. He expected that more environmental protection campaigns for young people would be expanded nationwide.
The activity was part of Vietnam’s efforts to mark World Kindness Day on November 13.
The activities involved some 4,000 people, including students from Hanoi colleges and universities, parents and Miss Vietnam 2010 Nguyen Thi Ngoc Han. This was the third time the event has been held in Vietnam.
