The representative agency of Vietnam Airlines in Germany coordinated with Thien Minh Group (TMG), in Frankfurt city, on April 20, on a seminar on tourism promotion and to launch tourism products on the German market.

Speaking at the seminar, Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany Vu Quang Minh lauded Vietnam Airlines and Thien Minh Group for their organizing of such an an important event, marking the official relaunch of the national airline of Vietnam on its route connecting Vietnam and Germany.
The Ambassador emphasised that, although the epidemic caused many challenges, Vietnam has risen to be Germany's leading trading partner in ASEAN and Germany continues to be Vietnam's leading trading partner in the European Union (EU). Economic, trade and investment relations between the two countries have made remarkable progress, especially following the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) officially coming into effect.
The Ambassador said that German businesses are increasingly expressing interest in Vietnam, with many new opportunities opening up, including in the fields of renewable energy, green technology, digital economy and sustainable development, the environment, as well as other key German industries.

In terms of tourism, Vietnam has also become one of the top destinations for Germans. This is further evident as the two countries have lifted most of the travel restrictions associated pandemic prevention and control.
Vietnam has restored its short-term visa exemption policy for German citizens and has the most favourable policy for German businesses to enter the market and connect with potential Vietnamese partners.
According to the Ambassador, this is a favourable time for Vietnam Airlines to officially restart the Frankfurt - Vietnam route, one of the airline's most successful international routes.
Ambassador Vu Quang Minh expressed his belief that in the near future, with its important flight route connecting Frankfurt with Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Airlines will soon resume the same operating frequency as before the pandemic, helping connect the two countries and bring Germany and Vietnam even closer together.
The Ambassador affirmed that the Vietnamese Government is committed to continuing to open and create the most favourable conditions for German and international tourists and businesses to come to Vietnam.
At the event, a representative from Vietnam Airlines presented an introduction on Vietnam as a destination, its route network products, services and the sales policies of the two units, while the representative of Thien Minh Group introduced the destination and package tour programme.
This was part of a series of events to resume the international routes of Vietnam Airlines as well as promote Vietnamese products and destinations that Vietnam Airlines has and will continue to deploy around the world.
